Where did you have your Ceremony and reception at?

Woodland Park Zoo in the Northern Trail

How was your experience during your wedding?

It was phenomenal! Everything went smoothly and we enjoyed ourselves tremendously. The venue was gorgeous and we had a fabulous time with or family and friends. The photo time went very well! We got everything we could have wanted and more! They are all stunning and there are some amazing candids.

What’s one piece of advise you would give to other couples for their photo’s on their day?

Definitely plan some family photo sets ahead of time! We were very glad that we did, as there was quite a number of different photo combinations. Try to figure out the photos on the day of would have been impossible.

Did you take any props or try to incorporate any activities that you and your partner are involved in?

Not Specifically. We did arrange for there to be an owl encounter before the ceremony that we could take photos with we both love animals and nature. Our guests were able to visit with the zookeeper and see the owl,which added a very nice touch.

Did you see one another before the ceremony? Did you do all your photos before or after the ceremony?

We did see each other before the ceremony. We talked about trying to do a 1st look photos or wait to see one another until ceremony, but the venue and timing didn’t allow for it. We took some of our photo’s before the ceremony and some after. The timing of the event was a bit tight, so we kind of had to squeeze them in when time allowed.

What did you like/dislike about the scheduled photo’s?

I disliked how photo’s took away time from dinner and reception. I would have liked if the whole event could have started 2 hours earlier, but we were only allowed to be at venue during a certain time frame. I did like that had the photos set planned out, so it made things move a bit quicker.

Any tips on how to prepare for wedding for wedding photo’s?

Be sure to plan ahead! Plan out your photo sets and inform people who will be in them of where and when the photo’s will be. Even doing all this, there was still some chaos, but it was more organized with our amazing photographer.
